LOR

LOR is a new woman wear brand based in Milan (Italy) born by Laura and Rosa's true passion for fashion.

Rosa is behind the sketches and flat drawing, while she and Laura follow all collection steps.

The philosophy behind LOR are timeless outfit made out with high quality Italian fabrics mostly in pastel colors; also the prototypes and final outfit are developed in Milan, in a small laboratory, to guaranty a product that is entirely Made in Italy.

Nadia Gozzini

Progetto Atelier is a fashion brand that base is philosophy on recycling fabrics, and Nadia Gozzini is the designer behind it. 

She is an expert in sawing, and she uses oddments factory fabrics and old clothes to design and create simple and clean garments.
According to the oddments size, pattern and color, she combine them using the patchwork technique to make coat, t-shirts, skirt and trousers in a urban and births style. 

Soojin Kang

Soojin Kang is specialized in women knitwear design and she won the second edition of of Feel the Yarn competition held in Pitti Immagine Filati in July 2011.

This competition aims to introduce new designer who has a distinguished creativity to valorize the yarn by experimental knitting techniques and a sensitive color combination.

Danila Galante

Danila Galante is persuades that design nowadays has more responsibility comparing to the past in developing no polluted products, and this branch of design, related to sustainability, should be see as a creative possibility not as a limitation.

Danila has experience both as a graphic designer and as a fashion designer, but as much as she likes the speed of software like photoshop and illustrator, therefore she rather drawing fashion sketches by hand.

Thais Queiroz is from Brazil, and inside her portfolio there are fashion and graphic projects. She feels herself more as a fashion designer, however -as she says- there is a deep connection between graphic and fashion.

Kismet capsule collection by Jun

Jun designs this capsule collection by elaborating the basic T-Shirt to create something different: a capsule collection that involves cut and pleat combined on a neat design.

Pastel color on the shade of light blue and pink gives to the entire collection a fresh and young look. The garments are made in elastic and soft jersey, for a comfortable fit.

Louise Everett

Louise Everett has always had an interest in clothing and fine art, and she ended up as a fashion designer: it was the right solution to combine those two interests.

Olívia Suguri

Olívia is from Brazil. During 2007, while she was studying fashion design in São Paulo, she spent some time in Tokyo. Over there she was able to see runway looks in store and all over the city, not just on fashion magazine like Vogue.

This experience pushed her to learn Japanese and in 2009 she was enrolled at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.

Francesca Tosi

Francesca is a humble designer; she loves to observe streets wear; to discover which kind of clothes people wear everyday; and to analyze which kind of emotions and feels are involved inside clothes.

Her field is women apparel, because she can understands better women's taste and their fashion expectations. And she can plays around with ruffles, pleats, and laces; an opportunity she barely has designing men wear.

Marc Bauchère

Marc Bauchère is found in women apparel. He was driven over here by his studies and his passion for scarf, lace handkerchiefs and embroidery details.
"I like fashion […] and to create livens me up."

He designs garment and accessories as well. According to him, the silhouette of a cloth continues in the bag and shoes, as a logical step of the design process. Shape after shape, the armory of a collection is done.

Sian Riley is a joyful and enthusiastic women wear designer.
She always been interested in how women's fashion has evolve through the years, and she always want to create: become a designer was her natural choice.

She love to experiment different kind of material to develop clothes, like plastic or paper, but "some of my more artistic project can all be worn, even if they are a little crazy".

Ashlee Hoholik

Ashlee Hoholik is specializes in women apparel because she always felt you have more possibility to be creative and playful than menswear. 
"Although I like to create fanciful and whimsical garments, I also have a pragmatic side".

She loves to plays with volumes, to combine colors and fabrics, to express her mood by fashion; this can be compared to an artistic medium where the human body is the canvas.

Allister Jude Fernandes is from India, Mumbai; however he completed his study in Fine Arts and Fashion in San Francisco, North America, where he is working as an assistant designer.

YuSha Shi took interest in fashion design after she move to San Francisco, where she learned how to use a sewing machine and she fell in love with draping fabrics on human body.

Meeting L.Loffreda

Last Saturday, at design library, I had a interesting chitchat with Ludovico Loffreda, who presented his collection during the past Milan Fashion Week.

We spoke about his last work, his new project for the coming Salone del Mobile, and his idea about fashion. Actually he is a really active and a versatile designer.
His interests do not cover just the fashion field, even if he has a deeply knowledge about it; but he loves to know and understand human being and the society where they are living.

Santo Spada

The fashion week in Milan is over, and during the last day, February 28th, in the scenic spot of Castello Sforzesco, the designers of New Generation showcased their ideal women for the coming F/W 2013. 

Santo Sapda was one of them.

Since his teenager hood, Santo worked in the atelier of Saint Crispino Couture, where he learned all the fine techniques of stitching, sawing and draping. 

Jennifer Hockenhull

Since she was a child, Jennifer Hockenhull has been surrounded by fashion: her grandmother owned a tailoring business, her mother is an expert seamstress and her father is a print engineer. Becoming a designer was in her DNA.

As well she was always found in drawing and making textures on paper; and pattern and women wear are her specialties.

Puspita Sekarsari

Puspita Sekarsari develop her passion for fashion when, as a little child, she followed her mother to the sewing class; and, under the drafting table, she colored the illustration in her mother's patterns book.

Yi-Lin Cheng

Yi-Lin Cheng is a spontaneous and full of joy young designer.
She is really talented as a fashion illustrator and her mentor are R. Gruau and A. Lopez.
 

"I love drawing […] I will love to be a fashion illustrator of the 50's and 60's […] and fashion illustrator was the reason I chose fashion as a major".
She use any kind of media, but usually she draws using pantone marker and pencil.
